Why aren’t my Fitbit workouts syncing to the EGYM app?

If your Fitbit workouts are not appearing in the EGYM app, this is often related to how your Fitbit account is set up or connected. One of the most common causes is that your Fitbit account has not yet been moved to a Google Account.

EGYM relies on Fitbit’s supported integrations. As Fitbit transitions all users to Google Accounts, workouts may fail to sync if this migration is incomplete or interrupted.

Common reasons Fitbit workouts do not sync

1. Your Fitbit account has not been moved to a Google Account

Fitbit is phasing out standalone Fitbit accounts. If your account has not been migrated, data sharing with third‑party apps like EGYM may stop working or become unreliable.

What to do:

  • Open the Fitbit app

  • Follow the prompts to move your Fitbit account to a Google Account

  • Once completed, reconnect Fitbit to the EGYM app

2. My Fitbit was working but it stopped syncing

If you connected Fitbit to EGYM before moving your account to a Google Account, the original connection may stop working after the migration.

What to do:

  • Disconnect Fitbit from the EGYM app

  • Complete the Fitbit to Google Account migration

  • Reconnect Fitbit to EGYM after the migration is finished

3. Permissions were not fully granted

During setup or migration, Fitbit may ask you to approve data‑sharing permissions. If these permissions are skipped or revoked, workouts will not sync.

What to do:

  • Open your Fitbit app or Google Account settings

  • Confirm that activity and workout data sharing is enabled

  • Reconnect Fitbit in the EGYM app to refresh permissions

4. Sync delays from Fitbit

Fitbit data does not always sync instantly. In some cases, workouts can take several hours to appear in third‑party apps.

What to do:

  • Open the Fitbit app and pull down to manually sync

  • Wait up to 24 hours for workouts to appear in EGYM

What should I do if my workouts still aren’t syncing?

If you’ve completed the migration and reconnected Fitbit but workouts are still missing:

  • Confirm your workout appears in the Fitbit app first

  • Disconnect and reconnect Fitbit in the EGYM app

  • Restart both apps and try syncing again

If the issue continues, please contact EGYM Support and include:

  • The date of the missing workout

  • Confirmation that your Fitbit account is linked to a Google Account

  • Screenshots showing the workout in Fitbit
