What is BioAge?

BioAge is a holistic fitness indicator that provides a personalized assessment of your body's health and fitness. It compares your strength, cardio, metabolism, and flexibility to average values for your age and gender.

BioAge is calculated from the average of the following components, with additional factors such as gender, weight, and height taken into account:

  • Strength

  • Cardio

  • Metabolism

  • Flexibility

Understanding BioAge Metrics and Workout History

  • Workout History: This section logs each workout session, including details such as calories burned and activity points earned. It serves as a record of your fitness activities.

  • BioAge Metrics: These metrics reflect your overall fitness level and are divided into three components:

    • Strength Age: Updated through the Strength test.

    • Cardio Age: Updated through the Cardio test.

    • Flexibility Age: Updated through the Flexibility test. BioAge metrics are not automatically updated with every workout. Instead, they require the completion of specific fitness tests to reflect your latest progress.

How to Update Your BioAge

BioAge metrics are updated only after the designated tests for each metric are completed: To ensure your BioAge metrics are up-to-date, follow these steps:

  1. Update Strength Age:

    • Use an EGYM Smart Strength machine.

    • Complete the full Strength test, which includes all muscle groups. If only one muscle group (e.g., Lat Pulldown) is completed, the Strength Age will not fully update.

    • Ensure all required exercises are performed to reflect recent training.

  2. Update Cardio Age:

    • Perform the Cardio test on the designated equipment.

    • Completing this test will refresh your Cardio Age metrics.

  3. Update Flexibility Age:

    • Use the Fitness Hub to complete the Flexibility test.

    • This will update your Flexibility metrics and contribute to your overall BioAge.

  • Strength test → EGYM Smart Strength Machine

  • Cardio test → EGYM Smart Cardio Machine

  • Flexibility test → EGYM Fitness Hub

  • Metabolism → Updated based on the overall progress of your training plans and workouts, including metrics such as BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, and body fat percentage.

To ensure your BioAge is as accurate as possible, it’s recommended to complete all three major test areas. If your workouts appear in the Workout History but do not update your BioAge metrics, it is likely because the associated fitness tests have not been completed. Ensure you follow the steps above to update each component of your BioAge.

Important Notes

  • If you see the message "no data yet", it means no data is available or the existing data is outdated.

  • Simply enter new values or complete the relevant tests so you can view your updated BioAge.

  • If only one or a few muscle groups are tested during the Strength test, the Strength Age will not fully update. Make sure to complete the full Strength test for all muscle groups.
